In October 2005, Southwaite Green was awarded Best Overall Start Up Business Plan Award in the Handbag.com/Barclays Business competition.  The business plan also won the Contribution to Communities award.

In June 2008, Southwaite Green won the North West Business Environment Award. This video shows the development as at that date, with commentary on the environmental features from the owner.
